Thyroid Health - If something doesn't 'feel right' it probably isn't

I want to share a story from a current client, as it is a similar story that I have heard hundreds of times from women....and I want people to know, something CAN be done.
My client came to me complaining of worsening symptoms of increasing anxiety, weight gain no matter what she did, sleeplessness, menstrual cycle all over the show, headaches and generally just feeling 'Blah'. She had been back and forwards to doctors, who after taking numerous blood tests continued to tell her there was "Nothing Wrong" and simply wanted to prescribe her Antidepressants and Duramine (weight loss medication), which obviously makes her feel helpless as she begins to second guess wether maybe all of this really is in her head? And her mental wellbeing begins to suffer immensely.
As soon as she came to me, these symptoms screamed out Thyroid imbalance, so I conducted a FULL Thyroid panel test. NOTE: the issue with the Thyroid (and Thyroid testing) is that doctors will commonly only check the "TSH" - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, if that comes back "in the normal range" you are considered "fine". THIS IS RUBBISH! The Thyroid is a complex endocrine gland and there are multiple aspects that need to be tested before we can declare wether it is in OPTIMAL or even functional health....Just checking "TSH" is LAZY and cruel to patients, and I have had enough!!!!!!!!
It is the most undiagnosed / misunderstood / unrecognised health condition we are faced with in modern times, there are thousands of people walking around Australia with a misdiagnosed Thyroid condition and suffering unnecessarily!!

What do we need to be checking, to PROPERLY assess the Thyroid?
-TSH
-Free T4
-Free T3
-Reverse T3
-Reverse T3 ratio
-Thyroid peroxidase ab.
-Antithyroglobulin ab.
-As well as assess Iron levels, Selenium, Iodine and Tyrosine intake and deficiencies

So what happened with this client? Sure enough; her blood tests came back to me indicating Hypothyroidism (Under functioning Thyroid), answering where ALL of her key symptoms have stemmed from. Now we know what we are working with we can use the power of whole foods, nutritional support, lifestyle balance and emotional wellbeing support to get this beautiful lady back on track and feeling filled with life again.
PEOPLE: trust inner instinct! women aren't born with intuition for nothing, we have this gift of being able to tap into things to find answers, we just need to trust this and use this when it comes to our health. Don't settle for answers that "don't feel right"
Lots of love to all xx April xx

It seems to me that, humanity is losing faith on pursuing total health. We have been cowed by numerous health challenges to the point where, we are instead studying how to function in abnormalities. The general slogan in most places today is how to live with AIDS, malaria, or any other disease. Such cowardly approach and attitude can not be rewarded with insight on human triumph over sicknesses and diseases. While seeking for better ways in relieving the sick and the diseased, we should not fail to embark on continuous research, so as to uncover the truth which will forever empower humans to triumph over sicknesses and diseases.
