3 oranges, skinned 3 apples, washed, cored and halved 2 carrots, washed 4 celery sticks, washed 1 lemon, skinned 1 beetroot, washed and cut into quaters Thumb size piece of ginger, washed (I never bother peeling ginger if I was washed it well) 4 large silverbeet leaves, washed roughly chopped 1/2 an avocado, skinned 2 kiwi fruit Method: Into your juicer add all fruit and vegetables except silverbeet, avocado and kiwifruit Now add the juice into a blender with the avocado, silverbeet and kiwifruit and blitz until just combined (try and keep little bit of green still visible), and enjoy! Blending instead of juicing the kiwifruit and silverbeet means that your juice will still contain some fibre, which is usually 100% removed from the juicing process. Maintaining the fibre helps to regulate your blood sugar levels by slowing the digestion of the juice down. Fibre also has a long list of additional health benefits. By adding avocado to your juice it gives it more substance, making you feel satisfied for longer and again aiding in blood sugar level regulation.
